Hello! And Welcome! My name is Brandon Leger. I am a Seattle based gaffer focusing on the commercial and corporate markets in the PNW but always ready for any interesting and creative projects.
I started out as a PA, gaining experience in all aspects of production, before I jumped over to G&E. There I crosstrained extensively in both departments, quickly being asked to join the IATSE local under both capacities. Soon I moved up to Key Grip, where I was charged with rigging and managing the safety on set. Working alongside great DPs and Gaffers, I found my passion for lighting and finally made the leap to Gaffer myself. Recently, I have set myself apart by learning the latest in lighting technology, inlcuding Astera lights and Luminair wireless DMX, which have become prevalent on set.
Originally from Houston, I moved to the beautiful PNW looking for adventure. So, if I'm not working, you may find me hiking, biking, searching for bigfoot and everything else this land has to offer. Hope to hear from you soon!

Comfortable along all stages of the lighting process. Planning through execution.
Having been crosstrained in grip department and having worked as Key Grip allows me to bring that extra experience and knowledge to set.
A set of specialty lighting and grip that acts as either a completely wireless LED interview package or an LED hard light supplemental to larger shoots.
Astera has become increasingly popular on set. To help production, I have learned to program these specialized lights to give the DP and Director greater creative control.
Efficiency on set can't be overlooked. Sometimes you need the control that wireless DMX offers. Using luminaire, I can program the lights on set and have an iPad next to the DP and Director to make quick lighting adjustments.
Like everything else, the film lighting industry is being pushed forward by technology. While this can help increase both energy and time efficiency, it can make LEDs a little more complicated. Whether it's rectification, pulse width modulation, or color matching, I have the knowledge to get the most out of this new technology.
